- Portland Theatre Works is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization which recognizes that a play is not written simply to be read on the page, but rather experienced as a performance.
- With this understanding we are committed to the idea that a play cannot develop, or mature, unless the playwright can collaborate with other theatre artists.
- We have therefore dedicated ourselves exclusively to providing playwrights with the time, space, tools, and artistic support required to fully develop their plays and refine their craft.
